Join us for a full day of outdoor training for ITC Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene for the Outdoors. This is a very hands on practical course with the addition of theory and portfolio working, with holistic assessment methods throughout the day.
The qualification is intended to provide the learner with an understanding of the benefits of Outdoor Food Hygiene. The qualification specifically covers roles and responsibilities, how to prepare, cook, and manage others preparing and cooking food within the outdoor environment using approved principles and practices.
We will cook a full meal on the day, so there is no need to bring your own food, unless you wish to. We will cook a number of savoury dishes for lunch and then some pudding type food for mid afternoon. Recipes are based on cheap simple foods like a Dhal, flatbreads, fritters, pancakes etc. We will also provide a refreshment area with hot water and tea/coffee etc.
